What People Say

NOTES FLY SO MUCH FARTHER THAN WORDS.
THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO REACH THE INFINIE.

Parents answer the question:
How has attending Music Together® classes influenced your child's play at home?

Paloma arranges all of her dolls and stuffed animals, claps her hands and sings the Hello Everybody song to them the way "Teacher Kathryn" does.

Music Together has had a dramatic influence on our playtime at home. Songs are used in place of (or along with) questions, commands (!) or during clean up time. I've also heard Mackenzie singing while in her bed. My husband and I listen to the monitor while she sings "Trot Old Joe" and "Mississippi Cats" to her animals and dolls.

I am fascinated with how my daughter, Grace, makes up new songs of her own from tunes she already knows from class. She makes up all sorts of songs reflecting what she does or thinks at the moment throughout the day.

Sierra turns everything around the house into musical instruments.

Matthew makes up new words to the Music Together songs or hums the melody while building legos or other "beloved" activities.

Dear Ms. Hill;
On behalf of the Board of Library Trustees of Washoe County Library, we would like to thank you for the time you spent on your two music programs for the South Valleys Library.

Library Manager Tammy Cirrincione, the Library Staff, our preschool patrons and their parents enjoyed this wonderful program.

Providing the public with this type of enjoyable and educational programming is an important part of the library experience.

We've both served the Library many years and we're still gratified by the strong support shown by many businesses and individuals to the Library. Your willingness to gift us with your time and expertise is a prime example of this type of support and is greatly appreciated.

Part of our classes have to do with both innovation and creativity. For example, to model a session, we take a song and make it our own about our own children.

Miss Sofia, Miss Sofia
She hasn't any worries

'Cause Mommy reads her books
and Daddy tells her stories.

Mr. Brenlon, Mr. Brenlon
your mind is mighty bright.

Yes, my friend,
'Cause my memory's out of sight.

Oh Zora, Oh Zora
You really like to say no

No, no, no, no
No, no, no, no

Every little soul must shine, shine, shine.

Example of Innovation&Creativity
